maggot farm is a linocut print edition made by Aimee Goguen on the occasion of her exhibition, Mountain of the Collapse. The print depicts an unidentified mass with marks suggestive of swarming maggots, derived from a series of trash drawings of a dumpster Goguen spotted while walking in Los Angeles. Following the first drawing as if in an animated sequence, the rest of the drawings in the series are imagined scenes of the same dumpster mutating and being gradually overtaken by these insectile forms.
