Five Radio Stations

As part of David Horvitz’s exhibition, being living, JOAN will be streaming Five Radio Stations in our office throughout the run of the show, now through August 23.

Five Radio Stations is a kind of pleasure playground, co-curated by Seb Emina and Silvia Guerra, and presented by Lab’Bel, Bel Group’s artistic and cultural fund, based in France. Now in its second season, this group exhibition features five audio-based artworks that double as functioning radio stations. Each station is created by a different artist and can be experienced either online or in dedicated listening spaces.

At JOAN, you are invited to stop by the office to listen in. We will be streaming the five stations.

These works can be experienced like traditional radio—either as focused listening or as ambient background—for just a few minutes or over longer periods. Though automated, the stations are not on-demand but live-streamed, meaning every listener hears the same thing at the same time, forming an invisible global audience.
