Language Garden and Nnoo

Join us for the first off-site programs co-organized in conjunction with David Horvitz’s survey exhibition 𝙗𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜, now on view at JOAN through August 23. A series of readings, walkthroughs, and beach visits will unfold over the course of the exhibition.

This weekend’s events will take place at Horvitz’s 7th Avenue Garden and at Cafe 2001 in Downtown—two locations also featured in the exhibition at JOAN and captured by artists in the show.

Saturday, June 21, 6:30pm

On Saturday, Language Garden presents a reading at David Horvitz’s 7th Avenue Garden with Ed Steck, Brian Ang, and Zara Schuster. This program is organized as part of the exhibition Pond in a Bowl, opening at the Garden on Saturday at 6pm and on view from June 21–27 (open daily from 11 AM to sunset).

On Sunday, Nnoooooooo presents its fourth iteration of readings and performances at Café 2001, with contributions by Giles Clark, Junya Yamasaki, Marton A.N., Ed Steck, Dawn Cerny, Katie Gaydos, Rebecca Gaydos, Johanna Stone, Dylan Lusetish, Jordan Rountree, Kim Calder, Pink Dolphins and Henry Taylor, Crystal Sasaki, David Horvitz, Joseph Mosconi, Sophie Appel, Zara Schuster, Moses Mascuch, Tom Comitta, Sophie Gillet, Sophia Howells, Nahui Garcia, Amanda Wall, Allison Webster, Mílo Thesiger-Meacham, and Brian Ang.
